Steeple Furniture is a third-generation, family-owned furniture and mattress store proudly serving DuBois, Pennsylvania and surrounding communities since 1988.
What began with one trailer load of furniture inside an old church building has grown into one of the area’s largest furniture showrooms, offering quality furniture, mattresses, home décor, and interior design services at guaranteed competitive prices.

How Steeple Furniture Began
In 1988, founder Galon Conrad purchased an old church building in Pennsylvania without knowing exactly what it would become.
Shortly after, he came across a tractor trailer loaded with furniture being sold along the side of the road. He called his wife, Shirley Conrad, and asked what she thought about selling furniture out of the old church building.
Together, they decided to take a chance.
They purchased the entire trailer load, unloaded it into the building, and officially opened Steeple Furniture.
The name “Steeple Furniture” comes from that original church building — and the steeple still proudly stands on the building today.
Three Generations Of Family Leadership
About a year after the business opened, Sherri Ball joined the company and quickly became a driving force behind the growth and success of the business through her dedication, leadership, and vision.
Later, David Ball joined the family business, helping continue the company’s expansion and reputation for quality furniture, excellent customer service, and unbeatable prices.
In 2020, the third generation returned home when Kourtni Jacobs joined the business alongside her husband, Christian Jacobs. Together, they continue building on the family legacy while bringing fresh ideas, personalized interior design services, and a modern showroom experience to customers throughout Pennsylvania.
